1. Introduction

Clip Counter ("we," "our," or "the app") is a nutrition tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (encrypted). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from those providers. We do not receive or store your Google or Apple password.

Profile Information

You may provide personal details such as age, gender, height, weight, activity level, and weight goal to calculate personalized nutrition targets. You may also upload a profile photo.

Nutrition Data

We store your food diary entries, including food names, calorie counts, and macronutrient values (carbs, protein, fat).

Camera and Microphone

With your permission, Clip Counter accesses your device camera and microphone to record short videos and audio of your meals. These recordings are processed temporarily to identify food items and are not permanently stored on our servers. Video frames and audio are sent to Google's Gemini AI service for analysis and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Subscription Information

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) and managed through RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your payment information. RevenueCat receives an anonymous user identifier to manage your subscription status.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide personalized nutrition tracking and calorie/macro calculations
• To analyze food in your videos and text descriptions using AI
• To manage your account and subscription
• To improve the app experience

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — Account authentication and data storage
• Google Gemini AI — Food recognition and nutrition analysis from images, audio, and text
• RevenueCat — Subscription management
• Apple Sign-In / Google Sign-In — Optional authentication providers

Each service has its own privacy policy governing their use of data.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which uses encryption at rest and in transit. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

7. Children's Privacy

Clip Counter is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for data processing

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by other means.
